Effective Date: August 10, 2026
FormSaver is a browser extension designed to automatically save eligible web form progress locally and help users recover that progress after accidental refreshes, navigation, page changes, or other unexpected loss of form data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information FormSaver handles, how it is used, where it is stored, and what control users have over their information.
1. Information FormSaver Handles
FormSaver may process information that you enter into supported web forms while FormSaver protection is enabled.
This may include:
- Text entered into supported form fields
- Text entered into text areas
- Selected options
- Checkbox and radio-button states
- Website URLs associated with saved form progress
- Website domain and hostname information
- Page titles
- Form and field information required to identify and restore saved form progress
FormSaver processes this information only to provide its form-saving and recovery functionality.
2. Sensitive Information
FormSaver is designed to automatically exclude common sensitive fields from automatic saving.
These may include fields identified as:
- Passwords
- Authentication codes
- One-time passwords (OTP)
- PINs
- Credit or debit card numbers
- CVV/CVC security codes
- Payment information
- Bank or financial account information
- Security tokens and similar authentication information
Sensitive-field detection is based on information provided by the webpage, including field types, names, identifiers, labels, autocomplete attributes, and other available metadata.
Because websites can implement custom fields in many different ways, FormSaver cannot guarantee that every possible sensitive field will always be recognized.
Users should review their saved information and use FormSaver’s domain-exclusion and data-management controls when appropriate.
3. How FormSaver Uses Information
Information handled by FormSaver is used solely to provide the extension’s core functionality, including:
- Automatically saving eligible form progress

Users can delete individual saved snapshots or clear stored FormSaver data.
Saved data is automatically managed according to the retention and storage settings configured by the user.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their computer, browser profile, operating system, and user account.

FormSaver is a general-purpose browser productivity extension and is not specifically directed toward children.
