Workspace Tabs is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your workspace data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information.
Information We Collect
Workspace Tabs does not collect any personal information, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Physical address
- Payment information
- Authentication credentials
- Location information
- Personal communications
- Health information
The extension does not require you to create an account or sign in.
How Workspace Tabs Uses Browser Data
Workspace Tabs temporarily accesses your open browser tabs only to provide its core functionality, including:
- Saving browser workspaces
- Restoring saved workspaces
- Managing Chrome Tab Groups
- Creating workspace history snapshots
- Exporting and importing workspace backups
- Searching and organizing saved workspaces
This information is processed locally within your browser and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
Local Storage
Workspace Tabs stores data locally using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API.
The stored data may include:
- Workspace names
- Workspace descriptions
- Workspace colors and icons
- Saved tab titles
- Saved tab URLs
- Tab group information
- Favorite workspaces
- Workspace history snapshots
- Extension preferences and settings
All of this information remains on your device unless you explicitly export it.
Export and Import
When you choose to export your workspaces, the extension creates a JSON backup file on your computer using Chrome’s Downloads API.
Exported files are:
- Created only when initiated by you
- Saved directly to your computer
- Never uploaded to any external server
Imported files are processed locally within your browser.
Data Sharing
Workspace Tabs does not:
- Sell personal information
- Share user data with third parties
- Upload workspace data to cloud services
- Transfer information to external servers
- Use user data for advertising or marketing
Analytics and Tracking
Workspace Tabs does not use:
- Google Analytics
- Telemetry
- Usage tracking
- Advertising SDKs
- Tracking pixels
- User profiling
No analytics or tracking technologies are included in the extension.
Remote Code
Workspace Tabs does not load or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or dynamically evaluated code. All executable code is packaged within the extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store.
Permissions Used
Workspace Tabs requests only the permissions required to provide its functionality.

Children’s Privacy
Workspace Tabs is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
