How the Extension Works
Table Grabber accesses the currently active webpage only after you explicitly use the extension. It detects tables on the page and allows you to preview, filter, and export the data.
All processing is performed locally within your browser.
No webpage content is transmitted to external servers.
Data Storage
The extension may store user preferences locally using Chrome’s Storage API, including settings such as:
- Theme preference
- Export preferences
- Other extension configuration options
These settings remain on your device and are not shared with anyone.

Permissions
The extension uses only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:
- activeTab – Access the active webpage when you invoke the extension.
- scripting – Detect and extract tables from the current webpage.
- storage – Save user preferences locally.
- downloads – Export files to your device.
- contextMenus – Provide a right-click shortcut for extracting tables.
- clipboardWrite (if included) – Copy exported data to your clipboard when requested.
Remote Code
Table Grabber does not load or execute remote code. All application code is packaged within the extension.
