StyleLens – UI Design Inspector Privacy Policy
Thank you for using StyleLens – UI Design Inspector (“StyleLens”, “the Extension”).
Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles information when you use it.
Information We Collect
StyleLens does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information.
The extension does not collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Physical address
- Account information
- Passwords
- Payment information
- Location information
- Browsing history
- Analytics data
- Usage statistics
How the Extension Works
When you activate StyleLens, it temporarily reads the visual styling information of elements on the currently active webpage so it can display information such as:
- Element type
- Font family
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Background color (when available)
- Margin
- Padding
- Border radius
- Element dimensions
This processing occurs locally within your browser and is required only to provide the extension’s functionality.
No webpage content or styling information is transmitted to external servers.
Data Storage
StyleLens does not store personal information or webpage data on external servers.
Data Sharing
StyleLens does not:
- sell user data;
- rent user data;
- transfer user data to third parties;
- use collected information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Remote Code
All executable code used by StyleLens is packaged within the extension.
The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code.
Third-Party Services
StyleLens does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking services, or telemetry providers.
Chrome Permissions
StyleLens requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality:
- activeTab – Allows the extension to inspect the currently active webpage after the user explicitly activates the extension.
- scripting – Allows the extension to inject its inspection script into the active webpage to display visual style information.
These permissions are used solely to provide the extension’s inspection features.
Children’s Privacy
StyleLens is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page.
